Summer Camps

Camp Miguel

This isn't your ordinary 'summer school.' Camp Miguel is a three-week program in July offered to San Miguel students preparing to enter grades six through eight. Though mornings are spent in the classroom, enrichment activities in math, reading, and social studies are presented in a fun and interactive manner, helping students to exercise their mind during the 'hot' summer months without ‘burning’ them out. To balance out classroom time, afternoons are spent taking the boys around Rhode Island to participate in a variety of unique experiences, including trips to the beach, fishing, kayaking, and more. Camp Miguel keeps the San Miguel family close and connected even when school's out for the summer!

Camp Readiness

Every August, fifth-grade students are welcomed into the San Miguel family during the school's annual Camp Readiness. During this two-week period, the newest members of our community become acquainted with their new classmates, San Miguel policies and staff, and also learn what it means to be a 'Miguel Man.' Camp Readiness is an important opportunity for members of the fifth grade to begin forming relationships with one another, as well as take the first step in bonding as brothers. To help encourage the growth of this relationship, Camp Readiness incorporates a variety of fun afternoon field trips to engage students and inspire learning, teamwork, and leadership.
