The San Miguel School exists first and foremost to offer a quality education to those in need. Priority is given to those students who, despite facing challenging circumstances, maintain an aspiration to learn.
Applications are available beginning in January of the enrollment year. All applications must be accompanied by the family's most recent 1040 tax form. Tuition is always based upon a family's ability to pay. Recommendation forms must be given to the child's teachers, who should return the forms directly to the school. Once the application is completed, the child will be invited to spend the day at the school. The family will bring the child to school, meet with the admissions coordinator, and tour the school.
Acceptances are announced in mid-April. At that time, the family will be informed about the tuition they will be charged. Once the family has agreed to enroll their son at San Miguel, the Academic Dean will call to set up a home visit-the purpose of which is to build a strong working relationship.
