San Miguel Dean of Students honored as "Distinguished Educator"

San Miguel School Dean of Students Taysha Paulo was honored with the 2012 Distinguished Lasallian Educator award in recognition for her exemplary service to those entrusted to her care.

Taysha was one of three Lasallian educators in the United States honored at the annual Huether National Conference, held November 15-17 in Washington, DC. The award is given each year to educators whose outstanding work exhibits a dedication to the charism of St. John Baptist de La Salle.

Taysha fills many roles at San Miguel, including Dean, Coach, Teacher, and Counselor. But above all, the San Miguel students see Taysha as a caring adult, one who responds to their needs with love, understanding, and acceptance.

Taysha has the ability to help students discover their own unique abilities, gain self-esteem, and work through crises in their lives, giving them the tools to come to positive, non-violent solutions. Her persistence and enthusiasm are transformative, and Taysha's impact on her students lasts well beyond their years at San Miguel.

Taysha Paulo is an excellent administrator and coach, a devoted faculty member, and an exemplary Lasallian, and we are proud to have her on our team.

Congratulations to Taysha on her well-deserved recognition!
