Providence Journal, 5/17/09: "Middle school students talk about ways to end violence in Providence"

On Friday, May 15, The San Miguel School hosted a "Stop the Violence" conference, creating a forum for local middle school students to discuss and propose solutions to the problems they see in their neighborhoods and communities. The conference brought together six Providence middle schools under the guidance of presenters from the Providence Police Department, Tides Family Services, the Institute for the Study and Practice of Non-Violence, the office of the Attorney General, and other agencies.
