"Opening Doors" Gala raises nearly $140,000
"Opening Doors," the 6th annual San Miguel School Gala, Auction, and Miguel Medal Ceremony, raised almost $140,000 to benefit the school's Student Sponsorship Fund.
Held on May 6 at our new location, the gala was an opportunity to showcase our students in their new home on Branch Avenue. Performances by the San Miguel Chorus and Dance Team, a video premiere from San Miguel's Young Director's Club, and an art gallery displaying student work were major highlights of the evening.
Honored at this year's events were Miguel Medal recipients Gordon Miller, Manuel Ortiz (SMS 2003, LSA 2007), Carol A. Peterson, and the Gilbane Building Company.
